7 Day Adventure
Day 1: Arrive Hobart
Collect your rental car from the airport and drive to your Hobart hotel where you will check in for 2 nights. The balance of your day is at leisure. If it’s a Saturday, don’t miss the Salamanca Market!
Day 2: Day at Leisure
Day at leisure today. We recommend visiting the somewhat controversial Museum of Old and New Art (Mona), heading to Mount Wellington for incredible views or catch a performance at the Theatre Royal, Australia’s longest-running theatre. If it’s a Saturday, don’t miss the Salamanca Market!
Day 3: Port Arthur
Drive to Port Arthur where you will check in to your hotel for 2 nights. The balance of your day is at leisure. Perhaps stop at Eaglehawk Neck or the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo along the way.
Day 4: Port Arthur Historic Site
Your pass grants you access to the Port Arthur Historic Site for two consecutive days. Embark on a 40-minute introductory walking tour as well as a 30-minute harbour cruise, included with your ticket.
Port Arthur is the most intact and evocative historic prison in Australia. It covers 98 hectares (242 acres) around picturesque Mason Cove and has many ruined and restored buildings set in gardens and rolling lawns. You can join a guided tour with an experienced and knowledgeable guide, or follow your own inclinations and explore the Site at your own pace.
Day 5: Freycinet National Park
Drive to Freycinet National Park where you will check in to your lodge for 2 nights. The lodge accommodations are sensitive to the natural environment as they nestle in the surrounding native bushland and join the main Lodge complex by timber walkways. Freycinet Lodge is the only accommodation in Freycinet National Park.
The balance of your day is at leisure. Breakfast is included at this accommodation.
Day 6: Day at Leisure
Day at leisure today. We recommend exploring Freycinet National Park. The hike up to the lookout over Wineglass Bay as well as a walk along Wineglass Bay are well worth it!
Day 7: Depart
Drop off your rental car at the airport this morning… why not stay longer?
