TRIP ITINERARY

Arrive in and Depart from Melbourne

7 Day Adventure

Day 1: Arrive Melbourne

Collect your rental car from the airport and take a short drive to your hotel where you will check in for 2 nights.  The balance of your day is at leisure.

Day 2: Yarra Valley Gourmet Tour

While the Yarra Valley is a world-renowned wine growing region, wine is only half the story of this gourmet wonderland and our tour provides a fine blend of the very best of the region’s wines and other gourmet produce. We start the day with an exclusive farm gate visit at Yarra Farm Fresh, for a palate-cleansing fruit experience. Next we travel to one of the valley’s true icons, De Bortoli Wines where we’ll enjoy a tasting from their extensive range of quality wines. The amazing produce at the Yarra Valley Dairy will truly melt in your mouth. The cheeses here are truly stunning and will have your tastebuds working overtime! Our lunch is at the fabulous Rochford Wines where our guests can choose from four different main meals, with a glass of wine and tea/coffee. After lunch we make our way to one of Australia’s great wineries and member of the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame, Yering Station. Home of Victoria’s oldest vineyards, first planted in 1838, the wines here are of exceptional quality and a tasting here is not to be missed. Before returning to Melbourne, we’ll visit the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie where you’re welcomed with an exclusive chocolate tasting, displays of thousands of premium chocolates and European chocolatiers at work handcrafting their chocolate creations.

Day 3: Halls Gap

Drive to Halls Gap, gateway to Grampians National Park, where you will check into your hotel for 2 nights.  The balance of your day is at leisure.  Perhaps consider a stop in Ballarat to learn of the region’s gold mining history en route.

Day 4: Day at Leisure

Day at leisure today.  We recommend exploring this quaint country town where you may spot kangaroos, emu and deer or take a 15-minute drive up some winding roads to Boroka Lookout in the Grampians where you can catch picturesque views of mountain ranges, lakes and plains.

Day 5: Warrnambool

Drive to Warrnambool where you will check in to your hotel for 2 nights.  The balance of your day is at leisure.

Day 6: Day at Leisure

Day at leisure today.  We recommend exploring the coastal town where, from May to October, you can spot southern right whales off Logan Beach or embark on an Aboriginal guided walking tour not too far away, at the Worn Gundidj at Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve.

Day 7: Melbourne

Drive along the Great Ocean Road and enjoy some scenic stops along the way to take in the 12 Apostles, or the Otways. Drop off your rental car at the Melbourne airport by 4:30pm… why not stay longer?
