Yeouido Park in early April. Here, you will be immersed in the unique once a year blooming of
over 1,800 cherry blossom trees. This is the perfect opportunity to take pictures and relax in
true natural beauty. You can be part of the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival with performances,
exhibitions, and workshops. You will feel like you have landed in a fantastical dream.
2. Gwanghwamun Square
Are you looking to explore the beauty of Seoul’s inner city? Walk over to Gwanghwamun
Square where you can view the statue of King Sejong, the most respected king of the Joseon
Dynasty. Gorgeous water fountains surround the statue, part of what makes this square a
desirable destination on your trip. If you are lucky, you might even be able to take in a festival
or concert as they often occur in the centre of this famous square.
3. Ggotji Beach
4 Kilometers southwest of Anmyeon Island is Ggotji Beach. This spot is one of the greatest
photography sites in South Korea with its beautiful sunsets and intriguing legend. The sunsets
between two rocks, Granny Rock and Grandpa Rock. Legend has it that a commanding officer’s
wife died hereafter waiting for her husband to return from his post. The one rock is smaller
than the other, perhaps like the couple in the legend. A sense of romance surrounds this beach,
making it a great place for couples.
4. Busan Gwangandaegyo Bridge
Though not a pedestrian bridge, this gorgeous structure can be viewed from afar. It connects
Namcheon-dong and Centum City, and is the longest bi-level bridge crossing over the ocean in
Korea. The view at night is breathtaking and its nightly light exhibition, set to music, changes
with the seasons. This truly is a worldly wonder.
5. Gyeongbokgung Palace
Become awestruck by the beauty of Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul and watch the changing of
the guards every hour between 10 am and 4 pm. Avoid coming on a Tuesday if you want to
experience the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony as this is the only day it does not occur. Do
