Note: Each Kimberley cruise voyage is different. The cruise included in this package is from Darwin to Broome, there are also additional departure dates in the opposite direction from Broome to Darwin. Throughout the expedition they may make changes to the itinerary as necessary to maximise your experience. Allowances may be made for seasonal variations, weather, tidal conditions and any other event that may affect the operation of the vessel.
Day 1: Arrive Darwin, Australia
G’Day! welcome to Australia. On arrival in Darwin you will be transferred to your Darwin hotel. The remainder of your day is at your leisure.
Day 2: Darwin, Northern Territory
You have the full day in Darwin to either relax before your cruise or to get out and explore this seaside town. Darwin is the northernmost city in Australia. The capital of the Northern Territory, Darwin is situated on Australia’s northern coast and is the gateway to the stunning Top End region of Australia. With a warm tropical climate, colourful characters and many outdoor adventures to National Parks plus rich Aboriginal culture, Darwin has plenty to explore. If you care to wander, the galleries museums and streetscapes are also filled with vibrant local Aboriginal art.
Days 3-12: Darwin – Broome, Kimberley Expedition Cruise
Board your cruise in Darwin, to sail into Western Australian waters and spend the next 10 days cruising the northern coast of Australia exploring the unique Kimberley region. This voyage explores rugged land carved by the powerful forces of nature. Thrilling rides through Horizontal Falls, showers under King Cascade, ancient rock art, crocodiles basking on rock ledges – these are all experiences on this Australian adventure. Travel on a small ship with a knowledgeable expedition team who share a passion for this unique land and have been sharing this unique region for 35 years.
Day 13: Broome
Disembark your cruise this morning and transfer to your Broome hotel. The reminder of your day is at leisure.
Day 14: Broome, Western Australia
You have a day in Broome to explore as you choose and is also a great place to relax and enjoy some of the most stunning, world class beaches. Broome is an exotic town that is rich in history including its prominent history in pearl farming that attracted people from Europe, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines. You may check out Roebuck Bay’s optical illusion ‘Staircase to the Moon’ one night or ancient fossilised dinosaur footprints at low tide at Gantheaume Point.
Day 15: Depart Broome, Australia
Depart Broome today, transfer to the airport for your onward flight (flights not included in this package).
