Day 1: Canada – Los Angeles

Depart Canada today, arriving in Los Angeles where you will stay 2 nights.

Day 3: Los Angeles – Rarotonga, Cook Islands

Depart Los Angeles, fly via Honolulu and arrive in Rarotonga late evening.

Kia Orana, welcome to the beautiful Cook Islands! On arrival, you will be met with a warm welcome and transferred to your Rarotonga resort. Not long after landing you can be kayaking in a crystal clear lagoon, sipping a cocktail or relaxing. Check into your accommodation , time to get a feel for what it is like to ‘live like a local’. Your studio is situated amongst the resort’s tropical gardens or near one of the swimming pools.  You can relax on your private patio and make the most of the well-equipped kitchen.

The Cook Islands has a beautiful tropical warm climate year round, with drier months April – November, and November – March is warmer with higher humidity and more frequent rainfall. Also between July to October if you are lucky you may also see Humpback Whales migrating north.

Days 4-24: Rarotonga Island

Your days in Rarotonga are at your leisure to enjoy the Cook Islands at your own pace. There are no traffic lights or high-rise buildings here, this small island is very easy to navigate and explore. Getting around is simple either by bicycle, scooter or local buses that run either clockwise or anti-clockwise around the small island (there is a bus stop right outside your resort).  It is almost impossible to get lost!

Enjoy snorkelling in the lagoon, visiting the local weekend market or perhaps catch the beautiful singing at a local church service.  We have included the following experiences to help you enjoy exploring the island during your stay:

Welcome to Rarotonga Island tour – this is a great introduction to the island one morning to orientate yourself, discover important historical sites, places of interest and local tourist services, as well as a short introduction to Cook Islands Black Pearls.

Muri Lagoon excursion. Transfer to Muri Beach to join your cruise. Traditional Cook Islands drums welcome you before cruising on glass bottom boats to the marine reserve for some snorkelling with giant clams and colourful tropical fish. Feed the fish before heading to Motu Koromiri for a local Rarotonga style fresh fish BBQ lunch.

Flavours of the Cook Islands Evening – Venture out to the villages one night to experience real Cook Islands cuisine and hospitality while visiting locals in their homes. Enjoy three courses, each course hosted in a different home. Explore a tropical garden before your first course, a main course where you will be treated to a buffet feast (similar to a large Cook islands family gathering). Finally your dessert host will share local sweets and fruit with tea and Atiu Island coffee. Along the way you will also enjoy sounds of local ukuleles, guitar and voices of the small string band

Day 25: Cook Islands – Honolulu

Depart your South Pacific island paradise today, transfer from your hotel to Rarotonga airport for your Sunday night flight to Honolulu.

Day 26: Honolulu – Canada

Arrive in Honolulu the next morning (Monday) and connect with your next flight via Los Angeles, arriving home later today.
