Fiji Islands Family Escape - Coral Coast
11 Day Adventure
Sample Itinerary (Subject to Change)
Day 1: Depart Vancouver
Depart Canada today on your Fiji Airways flight directly from Vancouver to Nadi. You will cross the international date line, causing you to appear to ‘lose’ a day but you get this back on the return flight when you cross the date line again.
Day 3: Arrive Nadi, Fiji Islands
After collecting your luggage and clearing customs, you will be picked up at the airport taken to Fiji’s Coral Coast where you will check to your seaside resort in for 8 nights.
It won’t take you long to discover ‘island time’ at your beachfront resort. The Shangri-La Yanuca Island is a laid-back resort on its own private island that is connected to the mainland by a causeway. This is a popular choice for families and features a natural lagoon, coral reef, beaches, tropical gardens and five waterfront restaurants.
Days 4-10: Coral Coast
There are a wide range of facilities here for the whole family, including three swimming pools, a dedicated children’s pool with a shallow end perfect for families, a private beach with a reef for snorkeling, a spa, fitness centre and a 9-hole executive golf course. Shangri-La is a family-friendly destination.
Highlights for families include the ‘Little Chiefs Club’ (kids club) at this resort that caters to kids 5-11 years old with a variety of entertainment. Little ones take charge here and enjoy a range of fun activities to enjoy the environment, local culture and things like building a fish house, tie dying a sarong & tshirt, weaving, plus fun outdoor games and activities.
The resort also has a water park in the lagoon, a children’s play area and a mini-golf course. Babysitting services are available (for an additional cost) and dining options include kid-friendly menus and buffets.
One day during your stay we have included a full day excursion to South Sea Island. It may be small in size, but there is plenty to keep the family entertained for the day including a semi-submersible submarine for underwater viewing, a saltwater swimming pool, and complimentary use of all non-motorised water sports equipment such as snorkelling gear, stand-up paddle boards and kayaks.
Day 11: Coral Coast to Nadi, Depart Fiji
You will be transferred by private vehicle today from the Coral Coast to Nadi Airport for your flight home.
