Fiji Island Honeymoon - Matangi & Vomo
13 Day Adventure
Day 1: Depart Canada
Depart Canada today. Cross the International Dateline today (Don’t worry, you will gain this day back on your return journey).
Day 3: Arrive Fiji
Bula! Welcome to Fiji. After arrival in Nadi, proceed to the domestic airport for your interisland flight north. On arrival in Matei Airport, Taveuni, you will be met and transferred by vehicle to your boat to Matangi Island.
Days 4-7: Matangi Island Time
Matangi Private Island Resort is a family owned and operated boutique resort situated on a 240-acre private island located in the lush tropical northern part of the Fiji Islands. This horseshoe-shaped island paradise boasts virgin tropical rainforest and white sand beaches.
All bures feature air-conditioning and ceiling fans, 4-poster king-size beds, private facilities, outdoor lava rock showers, Pure Fiji bath amenities, bathrobes and slippers, fresh baked cookies, French press coffee/tea making facilities, large sitting area, private veranda and beach hammock.
Activities at Matangi include snorkeling excursions, guided kayaking tours, stand-up paddle boards, guided hikes and walks, volleyball, sailing, island tour via boat and hand-line fishing. Weekly cultural activities including village tour (contribution to village fund required and not included), kava tasting, coconut show, bush medicine show, cooking demonstration, handicraft show, grade school visit, meke (traditional Fijian dancing) and church service.
Matangi Bonus for Honeymooners: Bottle of sparkling wine on arrival and breakfast in bed one morning.
Day 8: Matangi Island – Vomo Island
Depart Matangi by boat, then transfer by vehicle to Taveuni Airport where you will fly south to Nadi, Fiji. On arrival, transfer to Port Denarau where you will embark on a boat transfer to Vomo Island.
Days 9-12: Vomo Island Time
Your second stop in Fiji will not disappoint. Vomo is nestled on a secluded private island in the Mamanuca Islands. With soft sands fringing the island and clear waters that can be safely enjoyed throughout the day, lush tropical gardens, coconut groves and pristine coral reefs…this is the ultimate island getaway. Your stay includes meticulously prepared sumptuous meals and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Your villa has air conditioning and ceiling fans, a curated tea selection, modern coffee machine, complimentary soft drinks and water as well as a Bose Bluetooth speaker, complimentary daily wash and fold laundry service, private veranda and sun loungers.
Complimentary guest experiences include an escorted snorkel safari and Wednesday Managers Cocktail party on the beach. Savour mojitos and be mesmerised by a spectacular Meke show, a cultural extravaganza. Also included is non-motorised water sports and activities, kayaks, paddleboards, sailing craft, 9-hole par-3 chip and putt golf, tennis, croquet, volleyball, gym and group VOMOfit sessions.
Day 13: Depart Fiji – Canada
Your dreamy Fiji retreat comes to an end today. Transfer by ferry from Vomo to Port Denarau. Upon disembarking, you will transfer Nadi International Airport for your return flight home to Canada.
