Fiji Islands & Sunsets

Day 1: Depart Canada

Depart Canada today.  You will cross the international dateline today and ‘lose’ a day (don’t worry, you will; get this back on the way home).

Day 3: Arrive Nadi, Fiji Islands

On arrival in Fiji, you will be met transferred just 25min north to Port Denarau where you can relax and enjoy breakfast at one if the cafes before boarding between 11.00am-11.45am.  You will be transferred by smaller vessel to join the M.V. Fiji Princess.

Days 4-6: Fiji Islands Cruising

Your cruise itinerary is flexible and subject to change to give the best possible experience. but will include the Mamanuca and Yasawa island groups off the west coast of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu. Your sample cruise itinerary includes:

Yalobi Bay – As you arrive at the Sacred Islands, you may think you are lost in paradise! The backdrop of the neighbouring volcanic formations is breathtaking, Yalobi Bay is the southernmost island in the Yasawa’s and the most mountainous. The mountains here are often topped by clouds, which brings moisture to the area making it far greener than other western Fijian Islands. Tall mountains surround the deep teal blue water in the bay, rising dramatically behind the small palm-covered village onshore. Spend time swimming, snorkelling and relaxing on the beach. Today you can also learn how to make the Roti in Lolo dish.

Blue Lagoon – Head ashore for happy hour and canapés, a special night is ahead with traditional Lovo feast cooked underground and enjoyed on the beach under the palm trees and stars. Tonight you have an evening of Fijian meke, singing and dancing with the local villagers.

Sawa-I-Lau Island – Most of the day is at leisure at Blue Lagoon. You can take a morning guided island walk, visit an island-style cake shop and browse the shell market or take a snorkelling safari. After lunch, cruise north to explore Sawa-I-Lau caves. You will be welcomed by the local village for a guided walk around the village and enjoy a local traditional Fijian feast.

Drawaqa Island – Visit Drawaqa Island which is alongside a marine reserve for spectacular snorkelling. From May to October, you can also experience the manta rays that feed in the channel just off the beach. This area is also one of the main dive spots on your cruise, with amazing coral gardens just off the coastline, it is amongst the finest in Fiji. You can visit a local school and dinner is a BBQ on the deck under the stars.

Meals included: All meals on cruise,  breakfast, lunch and dinner plus morning and afternoon teas and bubbles for breakfast (sparkling wine with breakfast daily).

Day 7: Port Denarau to Natadola Beach

After breakfast, disembark today after 10:00am, and take a transfer southeast to Natadola Beach resort where you will stay for 5 nights.

Days 8-11: Natadola Beach, Fiji

You have 4 days on land to enjoy as you please.  Your small boutique resort with just 36 rooms overlooks the blue lagoon of Natadola Beach, renowned as being one of the most beautiful white-sand beaches on the island. This resort has a pool with swim-up bar, day spa, as well as a signature restaurant with beach views.

Relax poolside or beachside, or if you are looking for adventure there are plenty of excursions available (additional cost) such as ziplining, hiking, exploring caves or visiting the spa. Natadola Beach is also home to Fiji’s premier championship golf course, so golf enthusiasts can add a round of  golf with a backdrop of coral reefs and the Pacific Ocean!

Day 12: Natadola Beach to Nadi, Depart Fiji

Farewell Fiji today, you will be transferred from Natadola to Nadi Airport for your return flight home.
