TRIP ITINERARY
Island Hopping to 3 Fiji Islands including Shark Encounter
8 Day Adventure
Day 1: Arrive Nadi, Fiji Islands
Bula and welcome to Fiji! Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your accommodation in Wailoaloa Beach on Fiji’s mainland where you will stay 2 nights.
Day 2: Wailoaloa Beach, Mainland Fiji
Enjoy your time at leisure in Fiji.
Day 3: Wailoaloa Beach to South Sea Island
Transfer to Port Denarau and board your short ferry to the Mamanuca Islands. You will stay the night on South Sea Island, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and coral reefs teeming with marine life.
Spend your day here lazing by the saltwater swimming pool, enjoying complimentary non-motorised watersports including beach volleyball, snorkeling, paddleboarding and kayaking or explore Fiji’s colourful marine life from the semi-submersible submarine. You can also choose to add an optional activity such as island massage or diving (additional cost). There is nowhere more tranquil than this tiny island paradise.
Day 4: South Sea Island to Kuata Island
Travel to the gateway to Fiji’s Yasawa Islands aboard the Yasawa Flyer. Stay at Barefoot Kuata Resort on Kuata Island. This scenic resort is surrounded by impressive volcanic peaks, we recommend hiking to the summit to watch the sunset!
Here you will take your shark snorkel adventure for the opportunity to get up close and personal with reef sharks in their natural environment. A short boat ride from the white sandy beaches of Kuata, the reef is a spectacular site from above and below the water with an abundance of colourful fish and beautiful corals that call this reef home.
These sharks prefer shallower waters making snorkelling easy with good visibility.
There are two main species of sharks here, White Tip Reef Sharks and Black Tip Reef Sharks. Both are common in the tropical warm waters of the South Pacific and can grow up to 1.8m long (although underwater they appear 25% larger due to the optical illusion created by a snorkelling face mask!). Whitetips are the dominant species and are an inquisitive shark not frightened to check you out while Blacktips are generally more timid.
The number of sharks varies, but it is common to see multiple sharks. As sharks are wild animals we cannot guarantee sightings but you have a 95% chance of seeing them.
Day 5: Kuata Island to Nalamu Beach
Return to Fiji’s main island by boat to Port Denarau. You will be met on arrival at the port and taken by private car to your resort.
Days 6-7: Nalamu Beach & Nadi
Enjoy your days at leisure in Fiji.
Day 8: Depart Fiji
Today your trip to Fiji will conclude. You will travel by private car transfer from your hotel to Nadi Airport for your onward flight (flight not included).
