Day 1: Arrive Melbourne, Australia
Welcome to Melbourne and Australia. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. This evening, join your group for a welcome reception and dinner. It’s a great opportunity to get to know everyone in a unique setting.
Day 2: Melbourne Sightseeing
Take a Melbourne city sightseeing tour that includes a private walk through Melbourne’s hidden laneways. You’ll discover the city’s eclectic lanes, arcades, café society and fascinating street art. There will be time afterwards to explore the city on your own, enjoy an optional experience or simply relax and watch the world go by.
Day 3: Melbourne to Cairns
This morning you will be transferred to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Cairns, Queensland (Note: flight prices not included in this tour). On arrival, join a private wildlife journey at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures. This includes a boat cruise and encounter koalas, wallabies, birds, crocodiles and more! There will be time to take part in regenerating the rainforest in the Wangetti Valley in a tree planting project and be a part of keeping the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics alive.
Day 4: Great Barrier Reef
Get ready for an experience of a lifetime – board a high speed catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. You can snorkel and view this natural living wonder up close (equipment provided) or stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a semi-submersible craft, just one metre underwater.
Day 5: Cairns
Today you have a day at leisure to do as you choose. There are a number of great optional sightseeing tours (additional cost) such as Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to Kuranda over and through World Heritage rainforest, explore quaint Kuranda village and Kuranda Scenic Rail for a historic rail journey. If you’d prefer to spend the day relaxing by your hotel pool or sitting back at a local café you can do that too! In the evening rejoin your travelling companions for dinner.
Day 6: Cairns to Sydney
After a leisurely morning, switch the tropical vibes to city highlights as you fly to Sydney (Note: flight prices not included in this tour). Kick off your arrival to Sydney with a dinner cruise enjoying the famous Sydney Harbour. You will pass under the Harbour Bridge, cruise past the Sydney Opera House and see many magnificent waterfront homes, beaches and parklands.
Day 7: Sydney Sightseeing
Discover one of the great architectural highlights of Sydney, the beautiful Sydney Opera House with a guided tour inside this iconic building and arts precinct. If there was ever a place that slipped from the pages of a fairy-tale, Wendy’s Secret Garden at Lavender Bay is it. Overlooking Sydney Harbour, this pocket of floral paradise that was once unused wasteland is explained by a local volunteer. Explore Sydney’s inner west area and enjoy a lunch with the locals at the pub. Then visit Batch Brewery to join a masterclass and learn how they combine creatively limited release batches with sustainable practices.
Day 8: Sydney
Today is yours to explore at your leisure or book one of our optional activities (additional cost). Why not take a day trip to the spectacular Blue Mountains for stunning scenery, the charming village of Leura, the famous Three Sisters rock formation and visit a Wildlife Park to get up close with some of Australia’s cuddly native animals. Or, if you have always wanted to climb Sydney Harbour Bridge, today could be your chance on a thrilling ‘Bridgeclimb’. Your Farewell Dinner tonight is beside Sydney Harbour.
Day 9: Depart Sydney, Australia
Bid farewell to your fellow travellers when your tour concludes after breakfast.
