Day 1: Arrive Adelaide, South Australia

Welcome to Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. On arrival you will transfer by private car from Adelaide Airport to your hotel where you will stay for 3 nights.

Day 2: Adelaide

Spend the day discovering the highlights of Adelaide and surrounds,  Start in the city, learn about Adelaide’s history and some insider secrets. Head out of the city to the iconic Adelaide Oval (events permitting), through picturesque North Adelaide with its Federation architecture and lavish homes and to the summit of Mount Lofty for great views. In Hahndorf, the German settlement filled with boutiques, galleries and cafes to explore.  Enjoy the short scenic drive through the heart of the beautiful Adelaide Hills to the iconic wine region of McLaren Vale and Chapel Hill Winery for a wine tasting experience at their picturesque cellar door. After travel through more beautiful countryside teeming with grapevines and sea views, arrive at the quaint Shingleback Winery for a relaxed tasting. Return to Adelaide via the scenic route along the coastline to the seaside suburb of Glenelg. You have a choice to spend 20 mins here, or stay longer on your own and make your own way back to the city on a tram.

Day 4: Adelaide – Kangaroo Island

Depart early and travel past Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills transfer to Cape Jervis to board a 45min ferry to Kangaroo Island. Visit Seal Bay Conservation Park for a guided beach walk amongst a colony of rare Australian sea lions. Travel to the western most part of the island, Flinders Chase National Park. As you travel through the park, keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies, reptiles and koalas. See the rugged coastline from walks around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch boardwalk down a rugged cliff face to the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful Long-nosed Fur Seals. Your last visit of the day is to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to learn about the wildlife, feed kangaroos and get up close to Koalas. Check in to your Kangaroo Island accommodation where you will stay for 2 nights.

Day 5: Kangaroo Island

Your first official stop today is the Birds of Prey presentation at Raptor Domain for an educational, interactive experience. Travel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for a delicious lunch followed by an introduction to the history of the oil distillery and guided tour. You may choose to taste Kangaroo Island Ciders’ range of Colony Cove products including Apple Sparkler and Cider (additional cost). Finish off with some free time in their souvenir shop with an assortment of Eucalyptus products. Visit Clifford’s Honey Farm, for a tour of the honey room to learn about the extraction process, taste a honey soft drink and have the option to sample the Drunken Drone Brewery’s Honey Wheat Ale. In the farm gate shop you can see a working beehive and try to spot the Queen bee. There are different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey and beauty products to purchase as well as their famous honey ice-cream. Continue to Pennington Bay, a spectacular beach on the south coast of Kangaroo Island for a photo opportunity before arriving at your final stop False Cape Wines Cellar Door. This stunning new cellar door is made from recycled wood, jetty timbers and limestone sourced on the property. Here you can take part in a structured wine tasting while enjoying the peaceful views of the surrounding vineyards.

Day 6: Kangaroo Island – Adelaide

Early this morning you will be collected from your accommodation and transferred to Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for your return ferry and coach transfer to return to Adelaide.
