Day 1: Arrive Adelaide, South Australia
Welcome to Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. On arrival make your way Adelaide Airport to your city hotel.
Day 2: Adelaide, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale
Spend the day discovering the highlights of Adelaide and surrounds, Start in the city, learn about Adelaide’s history and insider secrets. Head to the iconic Adelaide Oval (events permitting), through picturesque North Adelaide with its Federation architecture and lavish homes and to the summit of Mount Lofty for great views.
In Hahndorf, the German settlement filled with boutiques, galleries and cafes you have free time to exploore. Enjoy the short scenic drive through the heart of the beautiful Adelaide Hills to the iconic wine region of McLaren Vale where you will visit two woneries. Return to Adelaide via the scenic route along the coastline to the seaside suburb of Glenelg. You have a choice to spend 20 mins here, or stay longer on your own and make your own way back to the city on a tram.
Day 3: Kangaroo Island
Rise early and travel to Cape Jervis in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula to board the ferry to Penneshaw, on Kangaroo Island. Spend the day exploring South Australia’s premier nature-based tourism destination. Visit Seal Bay Conservation Park for a guided beach walk amongst a colony of rare Australian sea lions. A delicious 2-course lunch will follow your Seal Bay Conservation Park visit. Travel to the western part of the Island and Flinders Chase National Park where you may see echidnas, wallabies, reptiles or koalas. See the rugged coastline from walks around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch where a boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful Long-nosed Fur Seals. Finish the day by visiting the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed kangaroos and get up close to the Kangaroo Island Koalas. Return to Adelaide by ferry and coach, arriving late evening.
Day 4: Depart Adelaide, South Australia
Your time in South Australia concludes today after you check out of your hotel and make your way to Adelaide Airport.
