City Stopover in Seoul, South Korea
3 Day Adventure
Sample Itinerary (Subject to Change)
Day 1: Arrive Seoul, South Korea
On arrival at Incheon International Airport, transferred by vehicle to your Seoul hotel where you will stay for 2 nights. The rest of your day is at your leisure.
Day 2: Seoul Sightseeing
Meet your guide and travel by public transport to discover Seoul today. Begin with a visit to Gwanghwamun Plaza to see the statues of King Sejong and Admiral Yi Sun-Sin. Continue through Gwanghwamun gate to visit Gyeongbokgung (Gyongbok) Palace, the main royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Originally built in 1395, it was expanded in 1867 to become the largest and arguably most beautiful of Seoul’s five palaces with 330 buildings in total. Witness the ceremonial changing of the guard which takes place at 10:00 at Gwanghwamun Gate.
From there, take a short walk to Bukchon Hanok, a village that dates back to the Joseon period and features traditional Korean houses, called hanok, many of which are still inhabited today. Explore the area for a closer look at the unusual architecture and learning about traditional village life.
Next stop is Changdeokgung Palace, another palace from the Joseon dynasty. In addition to being one of the best preserved palaces, this UNESCO site is known for its Secret Garden where man-made structures were built in harmony with the natural surroundings.
Finish the day at another must-see area in Seoul, Insadong. Located in the heart of Seoul, this neighbourhood is steeped in tradition and boasts a plethora of art galleries, antique shops, craft stores, and traditional teahouses. It’s the perfect place to be immersed in Korean culture and explore traditional arts and crafts.
Please note: Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed on Tuesdays, Changdeokgung Palace is closed on Mondays, Bukchon Hanok Village is closed on Sundays.
Day 3: Depart Seoul, South Korea
Today is at your leisure until it is time for you to depart Seoul, transfer be car to Incheon International Airport for your onward flight (flight not included).
