The nearby island Moorea (sometimes referred to as Tahiti’s little sister) is easily reached by short ferry and an ideal place to relax and unwind. The island is flanked by two large bays – Cook’s (Paopao) and Opunohu Bays and including eight mountain peaks creates beautiful scenic views. It is easy to see why this is a popular honeymoon destination, with a slow pace and calm vibe as well as lots lots to see and do such as hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, whale watching, windsurfing, offroad adcentures and more!

TRIP ITINERARY
Tropical Vacation in the Islands of Tahiti & Moorea
9 Day Adventure
Day 1: Arrive Papeeté, Tahiti, French Polynesia
Ia Orana, welcome to the islands of Tahiti. On arrival at Pape’etē Airport, you will be met and transferred to your resort. Enjoy your time in Tahiti at leisure. Be sure to check out the local market and the evening Roulettes (food trucks) on the Papeeté waterfront. Stay in Tahiti for 3 nights.
Day 2: Tahiti
For an introduction to this beautiful island, we have included a choice of two two Tahiti Island Explorer sightseeing excursions: either a half day Tahiti highlights tour including the Museum of Tahiti OR a 4WD tour to the heart of the rugged interior.

Day 3: Tahiti
Enjoy discovering local culture through food. We have included a guided walking tour to explore Papeeté Street Food. Combine Tahiti’s food and history while walking through downtown Papeeté. Local culinary culture reflects the Polynesian cultural melting pot with snacks and Tahitian favorite sweet & salty treats and enjoy 10-12 tastings.

Day 4: Tahiti to Moorea
You will be picked up at your Tahiti hotel and transferred to the ferry. Enjoy a short ferry to Moorea. Upon arrival in Moorea you will be transferred to your resort where you will stay for 5 nights. The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Days 5-8: Moorea
Enjoy your time at leisure in Moorea! Your traditional Polynesian style hotel is located on 7.5 acres of white sand beachfront just two miles from the magnificent Cook’s Bay.
One day we have included a full day Lagoon excursion. Sail by large double canoe into Cook and Opunohu bays and along Moorea’s north coast. In the shallow, crystal-clear waters of the lagoon, you can see blacktip sharks and stingrays. Learn about local legends, geography, flora and fauna and Moorea daily life. Once on Motu, enjoy free time to relax and enjoy a BBQ lunch.

Day 9: Moorea to Tahiti
Today you will farewell Moorea. Transfer from your Moorea hotel to the dock where will take your passenger ferry from Moorea to Papeete. A transfer from the ferry dock in Tahiti is included to Papeete Airport. Note: Your international flights are not included in this package, contact us for the latest fares to travel from Canada to Tahiti.
