This taste of tropical paradise is a quick island stopover, your first stop before exploring more of the region or perhaps a pre or post cruise stay. Tahiti is the largest island and capital that is made up of two volcanic cones. It has a rugged mountainous interior that is fringed by reefs, lagoons and secluded black sand beaches. From here you can learn about the local culture and history, visit museums and local markets, hike, surf, visit the nearby island of Moorea and enjoy local cuisine at the islands restaurants or perhaps the waterfront food trucks.

Explore the highlights of Papeeté and Tahiti
4 Day Adventure
Day 1: Arrive Papeeté, Tahiti
Ia Orana! Welcome to the Islands of Tahiti. On arrival you will be met at Faa’a International Airport and transfer to your Papeete hotel where you will stay for 3 nights.
Days 2-3: The Island of Tahiti
Enjoy two days exploring the island of Tahiti. You may like to add a day trip to also discover the island of Moorea or perhaps spend a couple of days poolside. We have included a half-day excursion in this package, you may choose one of the following options:
Tahiti Circle Island Discovery and Museum – travel around the island including the Museum of Tahiti & Her Islands, that showcases treasures of Polynesia’s natural and cultural heritage. Visit archeological site of the Arahurahu marae, an ancestral Mao’hi cultural center restored in 1953, Vaipahi water garden to walk among pools, waterfalls, flowers and tropical plants. Cross the isthmus of the Tahiti Iti peninsula, to the wilder landscapes of the east coast and stop at Blowhole known in ancient times as Anahoho “the howling cave”, before heading into the forest to the 3 Te Fa’aurumai waterfalls. End your tour of the island with a visit to Pointe Vénus, where Captain Cook’s Endeavour docked in 1769.
Tahiti 4WD Island Interior Safari – explore the heart of Tahiti and the main crater in the Papenoo Valley. Tour Tahiti’s magnificent valleys and majestic mountains, and learn about local legends handed by ancestors.
Day 4: Depart Papeete, Tahiti
Farewell Tahiti today, your day is spent at your leisure to relax before your transfer to Papeete Airport for your onward flight. Note: Your international flights are not included in this package, contact us for the latest fares to travel from Canada to Tahiti.
