13 Day Adventure
Day 1: Arrive Melbourne, Australia
Welcome to Australia. On arrival in Melbourne, you will be transferred to your central city hotel where you will stay for 4 nights. The balance of your day is at leisure.
Days 2-4: Melbourne & The Great Ocean Road
Melbourne is a vibrant city located next to a river that has many charms and is easy to explore. You may enjoy the excellent choice dining, local boutiques, you can have dinner onboard a historic tram or discover nearby regions of The Great Ocean Road, Mornington Peninsula, Philip Island Penguin Parade or the Yarra Valley wine region. You have three days here to explore, we have included two experiences in this trip to get you started.
Melbourne Lanes and Arcades walking tour – this popular city intro to Melbourne brings visitors behind the scenes to discover Melbourne like a local. On this tour of the city lanes and arcades, your guide will unveil local designers and specialty retailers that are often only found in the city. The tour will share quirky cafes, independent designers, street art, architecture as well as historical tales of Melbourne along the way.
Great Ocean Road tour – Discover one of Australia’s most scenic epic coastal drives on this day trip to the Great Ocean Road. Head towards the surf coast with frequent scenic stops, including an opportunity to visit the beach at the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch. Along the way you will see pristine beaches, pass through idyllic seaside villages and stop to look for some of Australia’s iconic wildlife including wild koalas and colourful parrots. Journey onwards to the Shipwreck Coast, where you’ll visit the scene of Australia’s most famous shipwreck at Loch Ard Gorge. Learn the story of the two teenage survivors, who escaped with their lives while 52 others were lost. Descend the Gibson’s Steps where you will be dwarfed by the high cliff line and the enormous offshore limestone stacks. For an unforgettable climax to the day, arrive at the 12 Apostles in time to watch the sun set over this spectacular coastline.
Day 5: Melbourne to Adelaide
Depart Melbourne, Victoria today. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Adelaide (flight not included). Upon arrival in Adelaide, you will be transferred to your Sydney central city accommodation where you will stay for 4 nights. The balance of your day is at leisure.
Days 6-8: Adelaide & Kangaroo Island
Adelaide the capital of South Australia is a great place to visit for its slower pace, elegant colonial heritage, creative culture, plus excellent food and wine including 150 year old Adelaide Central Market and nearby regions of Fleurieau, McLaren Vale and the world-famous Barossa Valley. It is also a gateway to explore Kangaroo Island. You have three days to explore Adelaide, we have included two experiences in this trip to get you started:
Kangaroo Island tour – Take a ferry to Kangaroo Island, a natural sanctuary, the ‘the zoo without fences’ is known for its rugged scenery, abundant wildlife and excellent food and wine. Visit the Flinders Chase National Park at the western end of the island and discover the awe-inspiring formations of Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Enjoy a gourmet picnic style lunch and see kangaroos and other native wildlife in their natural habitat.
McLaren Vale Bike Wine Tour – A wine tasting experience with a twist! This day is a nature-based exploration of this beautiful corner of South Australia by bike, with wine tasting and local produce thrown in! You will ride high-end mountain bikes which have the advantage of being able to get off the beaten track to see stunning parts of the region that others don’t get to. This includes riding through some of the amazing national parks near Adelaide, an exhilarating (yet easy) downhill ride down Wickhams hill and pedal through the vines to find sensational local wineries.
Day 9: Adelaide to Sydney
You will be picked up at your hotel and taken to the airport for your flight to Sydney (flight not included). Upon arrival you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your accommodation where you will check in for 4 nights. The balance of your day is at leisure.
Days 10-12: Sydney
Sydney in the state of New South Wales is Australia’s largest city and home to must see icons such as the Sydney Opera House, the historic Rocks precinct, Bondi and Manly Beaches and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This city is constantly evolving and also boasts easy access to reach Taronga Zoo, the Blue Mountains and Ku-rin-gai Chase National Park as well as the famous Hunter Valley wine region.
The Rocks Aboriginal walking tour – Today you will embark on a 90-minute leisurely walkabout discovering the most ancient human culture on earth with an Aboriginal guide. This includes a traditional welcome ceremony and guided walk around key locations in the historic rocks precinct.
Sunset Dinner Cruise – Sunset is an ideal time to enjoy a cruise on Sydney Harbour and we have included a window seat for you to get the best views!. Like a painting in progress, the magical colours of Sydney’s landscape change by the minute. The aquamarine colours of summer give way to the warm orange hues of Autumn before deepening to a magical winter twilight blue. This sunset dinner is perfect for pre-theatre dining, romantic night out or for family groups to wind down after a big day exploring in the city.
Day 13: Depart Sydney, Australia
