Sample Itinerary – based on 3 week Package:

Day 1: Arrive Bali, Indonesia

Welcome to Indonesia.  On arrival in Bali, you will be met  at Denpasar Airport and transferred to Sanur Beach and your hotel. Sanur is a stretch of beach along the southeast coast of the island.  This is a popular choice for visitors looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway.  Your resort is located at the southern end overlooking the beach and is surrounded by tropical gardens.

Accommodation: Sanur Beach, Puri Santrian Beach Resort & Spa (Superior Room).
Meals included: Breakfast Daily

Days 2-4: Welcome to Sanur Beach

Spend your first couple of days recalibrating and exploring your local area.  Sanur is a charming seaside town with a beach that stretches for approximately 5km along an east-facing coastline.  The seafront promenade is fringed by lush green landscaped grounds of resorts and there is also plenty of shops, local restaurants and cafes to choose from in the area. It is a nice balance between easily accessible for exploring other parts of the island and a great place to relax. The Sanur beachfront walk was one of the first in Bali and curves past resorts, beachfront cafes, wooden fishing boats, grant old villas and also looks across the water to Nusa Penida.

Day 5: Bali Foodie Tour

Today you have the chance to explore local flavours, with a choice of one of the following foodie excursions:

Flavours and history of Denpasar (day time) – a culinary adventure to Denpasar, the capital city of Bali was originally a centre of the Badung kingdom that was conquered by the Dutch in 1906. Today the capital is World Heritage-listed and has a variety of cultural traditions earmarked for preservation – one of which is food.  This excursion is a unique opportunity to see the old city and learn about its history which is intertwined with culinary themes. Sampling excellent Balinese coffee in one of the oldest coffee shops, followed by some classic signature local delicacies in six different venues.

or Denpasar Street Food (night time) – Discover the evening atmosphere of the capital and witness exotic Balinese culture by night while tasting various legendary dishes. This excursion will show you the hectic trading district of Bali and share the tastes of  various legendary culinary delights, numerous Balinese snacks while interacting with local residents at a traditional market.

Days 6-8: Bali at Leisure

At leisure in Bali. There are many local attractions worth checking out such as: The Bali Orchid Garden, Museum Le Maeur, an interesting example of Balinese architecture featuring works from artist Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur de Merpres who migrated to Bali in the 1930’s. Check out ‘Stone Pillar’, Bali’s oldest dated artefact located down a narrow lane which has ancient Sanskrit inscriptions from more than a thousand years ago. Another less known attraction is Taman Festival, an abandoned theme park that never opened and is now engulfed by vines and trees.

Day 9: Nusa Lembongan

Set sail to on a journey to a true paradise, Lembongan Island, aboard a 65-foot catamaran. Depart Benoa Harbour and sail across the Badung Strait to enjoy a day in the pristine bay at a private beach Club on Lembongan Island. Relax on the golden sands, lay back in the shade of the tranquil gardens, or cool off in the lagoon pool. Meals included: Lunch

Day 10: Ubud & the Heart of Bali

Travel into the heart of Bali countryside and villages today. Visit to Tohpati, known for its traditional batik products then Celuk, famous centre of exquisite silver works where you can watch the skilled artisans at work and Mas, a handicraft enclave known for its fine carved wood products.  Explore Ubud and its fine art galleries, including the Agung Rai Museum of Art, which has an extensive collection of paintings by Indonesian and foreign artists in classic Balinese and contemporary styles. Afterwards, test your bartering skills at Ubud Market before visiting Puri Saren Agung, home of the former royal family who ruled Ubud from the late 1800’s until 1917.

Days 11-21: Bali at Leisure

The rest of your time can be spent at your leisure to make the most of what Bali has to offer and do as little or as much as you like.  Kick back and enjoy your resort and perhaps local watersports, visit nearby Nusa Penida, explore Bali’s many temples (activities additional expense), shop for local bargains and crafts, see day and night markets and maybe even sample some of the local street food. Day 22: Depart Bali, Indonesia

Today you farewell tropical Bali and transfer from Sanur Beach to Denpasar Airport for your onward journey. Check out from your hotel is before 12.00pm (flights not included).
