Day 1: Arrive Hobart
Collect your rental car from the airport and take a short drive to your hotel where you will check in for 4 nights. The balance of your day is at leisure.
Day 2: Hobart City Tour
Embark on a half-day informative historic Hobart city bus tour with expert local commentary of 40 different historical sites and attractions. Your tour will stop at Anglesea Barracks, the Cascade Brewery gardens, Cascade Female Factory Historic Site, Rosny Hill Lookout and the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
Day 3: Port Arthur Ghost Tour
This best-preserved convict settlement in Australia combines rich history and a beautifully scenic wonder. Delve into Port Arthur’s fascinating and spooky history this evening on the lantern-lit guided walking ghost tour. Be sure to allow plenty of time for the drive and consider a stop at The Tasmanian Devil Unzoo along the way.
Day 4: Day at Leisure
Day at leisure today. We recommend exploring the breathtaking summit of Mount Wellington, a day trip to Bruny Island or check out The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), Australia’s largest privately-owned museum. If this day of leisure falls on a Saturday, you can wander around the 300 stalls at the Salamanca Market for fresh local produce, handmade arts and crafts and antiques!
