Visit the zoo that has been the long-time vision of Steve and Terri Irwin!  Located an hour north of Brisbane, the renowned Australia Zoo is a wildlife rehabilitation park run by a team of passionate conservationists who endeavour to educate the public on various wildlife.  Other wildlife experiences in the state include visiting Queensland’s outback, where you can find red kangaroos, emus and cockatoos.  Or go camping in the state’s ‘Scenic Rim’, a large hinterland area home to six national parks, one of which being the World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park, which is an ancient rainforest with around 250 species of Australian wildlife!
