Costa Rica Beach Break from San José to San José
8 Day Adventure
Day 1: Arrive San José, Costa Rica
Welcome to Costa Rica. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of your day is at your leisure in the San Jose, home to history and culture, outstanding architecture, friendly locals and bustling nightlife. While San Jose sits in the middle of the country and is surrounded by untouched cloud forests, it is also the cultural center of Costa Rica with plenty of art galleries, museums, parks and dining.
Day 2: San José
Explore the capital city of San Jose on a guided walking city tour.

Day 3: San José to Papagayo
Depart San Jose on a private transfer to your all inclusive, adults only luxury Guanacaste region resort located on the Papagayo Peninsula. Note: we have alternate resorts available in the region that allow families, enquire with our team for details and prices.

Days 4-7: Papagayo Beach, Guanacaste Province
In the north Pacific coast area of Costa Rica, you can enjoy some of the best beaches. Your hilltop resort enjoys views across the black volcanic sand beach and is surrounded by lush gardens and mountains. These days are entirely at your own arrangements to enjoy all of your resort and excellent dining in one place.
There are a number of activities you may choose to explore the region (optional, additional expense) such as fishing, swimming, diving, birdwatching, kayaking, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, hiking in the national parks and mountains, horse riding, visiting the hot springs, zip lining, canyoning, mountain biking, white water rafting or simply take the time to relax at any of the beaches. Guanacaste is also known for its traditional music and dances as well as beautifully decorated handmade outfits.
Regional foods worth trying are things made from corn (an important crop in this area) are handmade tortillas, tanelas, tayuyas, tamales (Costa Rican style), pisque, sweet tamal, corn rice, rosquillas, bizcochos, pozol, pinol and chicha. You may also like to try typical local beverages such as the pinolillo, which is made from finely ground white corn and toasted on a local ceramic plate. Local markets in Liberia, Nicoya and the famous Women´s Cooperative in Santa Cruz Guanacaste are great places to sample these popular dishes and beverages.

Day 8: Papagayo to San José, Depart Costa Rica
Your Costa Rica break ends today with a private transfer to Liberia Airport for a short domestic flight to San Jose.
