Sample Australia Itinerary (Subject to change)

Day 1:  Depart Canada

Depart today, flying Fiji Airways from Vancouver.  You will cross the international dateline and ‘lose’ a day, but you will get this back on the return journey.

Day 3: Arrive Brisbane, Australia

G’Day! Welcome to Australia and the state of Queensland.  On arrival in Brisbane, you will be met and transferred by private car to your hotel, where you will stay for 3 nights. The remainder of today is at your leisure.

Spicers Balfour Hotel is a stylish boutique retreat nestled in the heart of Brisbane’s charming New Farm neighbourhood. The hotel combines heritage character with contemporary luxury, offering elegant accommodation, exceptional dining and personalised service. Its peaceful setting, rooftop bar and convenient location make it an ideal base for exploring Brisbane’s vibrant dining, shopping and cultural attractions.

Days 4-5: Brisbane

Brisbane is Queensland’s sunny riverside capital that offers a relaxed lifestyle, vibrant dining scene and year-round outdoor attractions. Set along the Brisbane River, the city blends modern urban experiences with beautiful parklands, cultural precincts and easy access to some of Australia’s most famous beaches such as Surfers Paradise, The Gold Coast, Moreton Island.

During your stay we include the following excursion: Australia Zoo – spend the day discovering the incredible wildlife of Australia Zoo, one of Australia’s most popular attractions and the legacy of the late Steve Irwin, the “Crocodile Hunter.” Explore spacious habitats home to kangaroos, koalas, wombats, crocodiles and a variety of native and exotic animals.

Day 6: Brisbane – Cairns

Fly north from Brisbane to Cairns today.  Welcome to tropical northern Queensland.  Check into your centrally luxury Cairns hotel where you will stay for 4 nights.

Crystalbrook Riley offers stylish accommodation, modern design and spectacular views of the Coral Sea. Featuring a stunning lagoon pool, exceptional dining and a prime location on the Cairns Esplanade, it a great base for you to explore the Tropical North Queensland.

Days 7-9: Cairns, The Great Barrier Reef & Outback

Cairns is the gateway to explore World Heritage listed areas of the Great Barrier Reef and ancient Daintree Rainforest.  There is much to see and do in the area, we have included the following excursions during your stay: Great Barrier Reef Cruise & Snorkel – experience the best of the Great Barrier Reef , travelling aboard the luxury superyacht Evolution. Visit two pristine reef locations in one day, with up to 5 hours to snorkel, relax and explore vibrant coral gardens and marine life. This excursion is great for first-time snorkellers and experienced ocean lovers.

Outback & Chillagoe Adventure – Journey into the Australian Outback on a full-day adventure, travelling through the Atherton Tablelands and remote countryside to the remarkable Chillagoe region. Explore a spectacular limestone cave on a guided tour, visit the historic Chillagoe Smelters, see ancient Aboriginal rock art, and enjoy lunch at a traditional Aussie pub. The day concludes at Granite Gorge, where you’ll have the opportunity to hand-feed rare Mareeba Rock Wallabies in their natural habitat.

Day 10: Cairns – Ayers Rock

Depart Cairns and fly north into the heart of Australia today to the Red Center.  On arrival, take the shuttle to your Ayers Rock hotel where you will stay for 2 nights.

Sails in the Desert is surrounded by native gardens and iconic desert landscapes, the hotel combines contemporary comfort with Indigenous-inspired design, providing an ideal base for experiencing the unique beauty of the Australian Outback. Guests can enjoy a variety of complimentary resort activities, including Indigenous cultural experiences, guided walks, art demonstrations and bush tucker presentations, providing a deeper connection to the unique landscapes and traditions of the region.

This afternoon, we’ve included an Uluru Sunset BBQ – a memorable Outback experience set among the red sand dunes and desert oak trees of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy a delicious barbecue featuring Australian meats and fresh salads accompanied by wine, beer or juice, while taking in the spectacular desert sunset. As darkness falls, learn about the southern night sky and its constellations during a guided stargazing experience, enriched by fascinating Aboriginal stories and cultural insights.

Day 11: Ayers Rock & Kata Tjuta National Park

Today you will have activities included for sunrise and sunset, the best times to explore: Uluru Sunrise, Kata Tjuta & Walpa Gorge  – rise early and travel to Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, the sunrise viewing area and watch the first rays of sun light up the desert while enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee. Then  travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta, enjoying panoramic views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta at a dune viewing platform before arriving at Walpa Gorge. Spend some time exploring the gorge and the unusual rock formations. The 1.3km walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. Return to the resort for some free time.

This afternoon, visit the Uluru- Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and then travel around the base of Uluru to learn about sacred sites and features at Uluru including native flora, fauna and the culture of the Anangu (traditional owners). Continue to the Kuniya Walk where you will be guided to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole. In the late afternoon, witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while enjoying sparkling wine.

Day 12: Ayers Rock – Sydney

This morning, experience acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light. Under cover of darkness, wander through 50,000 magical hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light, in colours of ochre, deep violet, blue and white. Then make your way to the dune top where you will enjoy a warm drink and watch the sun rise in the distance behind Uluru, flooding the landscape with light, including Kata Tjuta behind you.

Fly from Ayers Rock to Sydney today.  Check into your centrally-located luxury Sydney hotel where you will stay for 4 nights.

Days 13-15: Sydney

Enjoy a combination of excursions and free time while in Sydney. There is  so much to see and do in this iconic city and beyond in New South Wales! Enjoy one of the many beaches from Bronte Beach to Bondi, explore different neighborhoods, catch a performance at the incredible Sydney Opera House, explore the wilderness area of the Blue Mountains National Park or the Hunter Valley wine region!

We have included the following excursions during your stay to get you started exploring: Sydney Opera House Tour – Discover insider secrets and stories of the Opera House artists and performances, step inside the iconic theatres and foyers that bring to life over 1,800 performances each year. Explore the building with knowledgeable guides, learn about how the original architect Jorn Utzon’s vision came into existence against impossible odds.

Guided Sydney Walking Tour – an immersive journey through one of Sydney’s most historic precincts where cobblestone streets and colonial buildings tell tales of early settlers. Delve into the rich tapestry of stories from the area’s foundation as a convict settlement to its transformation into a bustling waterfront neighborhood. Explore hidden alleyways, heritage-listed pubs, and landmarks. This is approximately 2km of walking covered at a leisurely pace through one of the city’s most charming quarters.

Sydney Harbour Dinner Cruise – finish your Aussie vacation with a six-course degustation dinner while cruising Sydney Harbour. Relax and enjoy a window seat, live music and spectacular views of Sydney’s iconic harbour and famous landmarks illuminated after dark, creating an unforgettable dining experience on one of the world’s most beautiful harbours.

Day 16: Depart Sydney (Australia) – Canada

Your Australia adventure ends today.  Depart from Sydney, cross the international dateline again and arriving home the same day.

Day 16: Sydney (Australia) to Nadi (Fiji)

Bula! Welcome to Fiji.  On arrival, you will take a domestic flight from Nadi north to Taveuni Island.  You will be met and transferred to your boutique island resort where you will stay for 5 nights in a Beachfront Villa.

Days 17-20: Taveuni Island, Fiji

Relax… you’re on island time! Spend your days exploring at your own pace or simply unwind in a tropical paradise. Situated on Taveuni’s only private white-sand beach, Tides Reach Resort is an intimate boutique retreat that hosts only a small number of guests, offering a peaceful and highly personalized Fiji experience.

Day 21: Taveuni – Nadi – Canada

Depart Fiji today. You will be transferred from your resort to Matei Airport for a short flight from Taveuni to to Nadi where you will connect with your international flight home. You will cross the international dateline again and arrive home the same day!
