Day 1: Arrive Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Welcome to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe – one of the most spectacular natural sights in Africa and the world. Also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning ‘The Smoke that Thunders’, it is easy to see how this is one of the UNESCO listed seven natural wonders of the world with its scale, power and beauty. Your afternoon is at your leisure to explore the area, perhaps browse local markets or choose one of the optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa (activities additional expense).

Days 2-3: Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park (Botswana)

Your morning is free to choose an activity in Victoria Falls or to explore the town. Departing after lunch we cross the border to Botswana and your campsite on the banks of the Chobe River.  Chobe National Park and the Chobe River, are key watering spots for wildlife especially in dry season May-Oct.  This was Botswana’s first national park is its most biologically diverse. The region is renowned for its scenery, epic sunsets and concentration of birdlife and wildlife including large herds of Elephants, Giraffe, Antelope and Buffalo. The following day sunset is enjoyed on a relaxing game viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River. Optional morning game drive in the Chobe National Park (own expense).

Day 4: Chobe (Botswana) to Caprivi (Namibia)

Departing Chobe, cross into Namibia and continue to the Western side of the Caprivi Strip. Arrive at your campsite overlooking the Okavango River. Enjoy sunset from the deck. This narrow stretch of land where four countries meet receives high rainfall, is home to 5 perennial rivers as well as woodlands, islands, valleys and flood plains. 

Days 5-6: Caprivi (Namibia) to Okavango Delta (Botswana)

Depart mid morning and cross into Botswana and your campsite on the pan handle of the Okavango Delta. Enjoy a sunset boat excursion in the channels of the delta. The following day, travel by boat 30-minutes into the delta. The following day you will take mokoro (canoe) and boat excursions through the back channels of the Nxamaseri area of the delta. You can also take walks on smaller islands in the area in search of more game, subject to the water levels of the delta. 

Day 7: Okavango to Maun (Botswana)

Travel through Botswana to Maun – gateway to the Moremi Game Reserve. You will have free time in the afternoon with the option to take a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta.  This is a unique way to discover the lush landscapes of the delta from the air, with the potential to view large fields of Buffalo, a journey of Giraffe, roaming elephants or wallowing Hippopotamus (optional flight, additional expense).

Days 8-9: Maun to Moremi Game Reserve (Botswana)

Change vehicles to open-sided 4×4 vehicles and travel to the Khwai area of Moremi Game Reserve. This is a pure wilderness area of great beauty, with rich green vegetation, palm trees, teeming with birdlife and a vast population of wild animals. Enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives exploring the reserve in open 4×4 safari vehicles. Your campsite is located inside the park where they set up bush toilets and showers.

Day 10: Moremi to Nata (Botswana)

Days 11-12: Nata (Botswana) to Hwange National Park (Zimbabwe)

Depart after breakfast, cross back into Zimbabwe and drive to Hwange National Park. Your unfenced campsite is situated inside the Private Concession. The next day, enjoy early morning and late afternoon 4×4 game drives in the Private Concession bordering the park. This area offers excellent wildlife viewing and the highest diversity of mammals of any National Park in Africa.  Aside from the huge Elephant population, you may also may enjoy sightings of animals such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog and more!

Day 13: Hwange to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Depart Hwange and travel to Victoria Falls Airport in where your trip comes to an end.
