TRIP ITINERARY

Arrive in Sydney, Depart from Adelaide

14 Day Adventure

Day 1: Depart Canada

Depart Canada today.

Day 2: International Dateline

Cross the International Dateline and lose a day. You will gain this day back on your return journey.

Day 3: Arrive in Sydney

G’Day and welcome to Sydney! Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The balance of your day is at leisure.

Overnight in Sydney for 4 nights.

Days 4: Panoramic Sydney Sights Tour

Depart your hotel for an unforgettable Panoramic Sydney half day city sights tour. On tour you will visit the historic Rocks area and hear of early convict history. You’ll continue through the financially focused Central Business District(CBD), and Macquarie Street. Marvel at 18th century sandstone architecture such as NSW Parliament House, Rum Hospital, Hyde Park Barracks and St Mary’s Cathedral. Your tour will continue to Mrs. Macquaries Point, to enjoy magnificent views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

You tour will then continue through Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, home to the rich and famous. Travelling along the coves and shores of one of the worlds most impressive harbours, your group will take a few stops for photo opportunities, including a panoramic photo of Sydney skyline. You will pass through areas such as Kings Cross, Double Bay, Rose Bay before arriving at Watsons Bay, guests will have the option a short coastal walk with views of the South Pacific Ocean and the entrance to Sydney harbour.

Travel on to famous Bondi Beach for a 30 minute stop. Visit the beachfront promenade, put your toes in the sand, enjoy a coffee or cool drink (at own cost).

Days 5: Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains National Park is one of seven national parks that make up the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. This wonderland of sandstone outcrops, deep ravines and hazy blue eucalypt forests boasts luxury retreats and stunning views. Today your guide will take you off the beaten track to visit remote lookout locations and discuss the history, flora and fauna of this magnificent region.

Depart from the hotel with your group tour.  The first stop of the day is at Calmsley Hill a working farm also home to Kangaroos, Emus, Wombats and Koalas. Enjoy morning tea and time to wander at leisure. From Calmsley Hill your tour will continue to ascend the Blue Mountains via the highway. You and your group will visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley seeing beautiful vistas.

Continuing on you’ll arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point away from the crowds for views of the famous 3 Sisters.  Whilst the Blue Mountains features so much more than this natural attraction you can’t help but admire the unquestionable beauty of this amazing rock formation. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colours.  Here your guide will discuss the legends behind this famous rock formation and time available for you to take some great photos.

Day 6: Day At Leisure

Enjoy your day at leisure in Sydney!  There’s much to see and do in this iconic city! Or you can enjoy a beach day at one of the many beaches from Bronte Beach to Bondi!

Day 7: Sydney to Adelaide via The Indian-Pacific Rail

Make your own way to the train station where you will board The Indian-Pacific Rail and check into your Gold Service Twin cabin.

A journey aboard the iconic Indian Pacific will whisk you between Sydney and Adelaide in comfort and style! The Indian Pacific traverses mountain ranges, passes through arid deserts and goldfields, rocky valleys and subtropical savannahs on its transcontinental crossings.

Overnight aboard the Indian-Pacific Rail for 1 night.

Day 8: Arrive in Adelaide

Welcome to Adelaide! Make your own way to your hotel. The balance of your day is at leisure.

Overnight in Adelaide for 2 nights.

Day 9: Day at Leisure

Enjoy your time in Adelaide!  There is much to see and do in this remarkable city with its fascinating small-bar scene, world-class art and music, stunning natural beauty, and nearby incredible wine regions!

Day 10: Kangaroo Island

Make your own way to the pier for your boat transfer to Kangaroo Island. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

You will embark on a tour of Kangaroo Island where you will travel through the Island’s most productive country to the north coast. Walk through the bush with your guide – through strangely shaped trees learning what makes that noise, whose tracks are those, and who left THAT little pile there? Look for small wallabies almost extinct on the mainland, a kangaroo found only on Kangaroo Island and a variety of other birds, plants and animals. At Seal Bay Conservation Park take a private tour with your guide among Australian sea-lions on a beautiful sandy beach – an experience similar to that of the Galapagos. Watch pups nursing or playing in the surf, see old bulls bearing the scars of territorial disputes and learn about their unique breeding biology.

Overnight in Kangaroo Island for 1 night.

Day 11: Kangaroo Island to Adelaide

Make your own way to the pier for your boat transfer back to Adelaide. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Overnight in Adelaide for 2 nights

Day 12: Day at Leisure

Enjoy your time in Adelaide!  Why not check out one of the wineries within an hour’s drive of the city such as McLaren Vale or Barossa Valley?

Day 13: Depart
