Cape Town & Kruger

Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa

On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to your boutique Cape Town hotel.  Located in a secluded, yet convenient location in the trendy central suburb of Tamboerskloof at the foot of Table Mountain, this is an excellent location to access the V&A Waterfront as well as the pristine white beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 2: Cape Town City Sightseeing Tour

This morning you will take a orientation and sightseeing tour if this magnificent city. You will see the Company Gardens, Greenmarket Square, the SA Museum and Bo-Kaap. Your afternoon can be spent at leisure, we suggest a visit to the V&A Waterfront, situated in the heart of Cape Town’s harbour.

Other optional sightseeing (additional expense) is available while visiting Cape Town is available.  Prebooking is recommended: Below is a list of some of the most popular optional activities on offer in Cape Town. Pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Day 3: Cape Peninsula Sightseeing Tour

Enjoy a full day today exploring more of the region around Cape Town on a Cape Peninsula sightseeing tour. The day is spent exploring the Cape Peninsula and visiting Hout Bay on the Atlantic coast before heading off to Cape Point for lunch. In the afternoon, head back via the Boulders Beach penguin colony.

Day 4: Cape Town to Greater Kruger Area

Depart Cape Town today, leave the city behind and head north in search of wildlife! You will be transferred to the Cape Town Airport for a flight to Johannesburg (flight additional cost). From OR Tambo Airport you will be transferred to Hoedspruit, you will be met and transferred to your private game lodge situated in Karongwe Private Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger area. This home away from home is set against a back drop of the Drakensberg Mountain Range and has just 24 suites. Step into the relaxed ambience of the lodge with its lush indigenous garden, lounges with internet facilities, bar, pool and thatched dining areas featuring original South African art. Award-winning chefs take pride in delivering outstanding meals prepared to the finest detail. Settle into your accommodation and spend the afternoon at leisure before embarking on a sunset game drive in the private concession, followed by dinner.

Days 5 & 6: Greater Kruger Game Drives

Your next two days will be spent exploring the world-renowned Greater Kruger wildlife area in search of Africa’s famous ‘Big Five’ wildlife. With over 9000 hectares of diverse vegetation, three perennial rivers and huge Jackal berry and Leadwood trees, this private game reserve is home to the Big 5 as well as a wealth of other smaller creatures and birds species, keep your cameras ready!

During your stay in Greater Kruger, daily dawn and dusk safaris in open vehicles are included. Bushwalks are an optional activity (additional cost, subject to conditions and availability). You will also have the opportunity to plant a tree in the local community.

Day 7: Greater Kruger Area to Johannesburg

After your last hearty breakfast in the African bush, you will be transferred back to Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit for your onward flight, or transfer to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg (flight not included).
